MALAYSIA QUILT BLOCK EXCHANGE

I refer you to my posting on 18th July when I shared the red & white friendship star I made for this International Quilt block exchange.

Ring any bells?? it was ONLY a month ago but in this heat……maybe it’s only me who feels her brain is getting overheated?!

OK so the sequel is that a package arrived for me from malaysia a few days ago with a really cool quilt block. here it is   – check out the 3D yellow petals.

THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO MADE THIS BLOCK FOR US HERE IN CANADA

Note the interesting way to attach the petals – they are satin sticthed along the edge & then caught at the base & tips only. File that idea away in your brain to use on a future project!!
